Famous Temples & Monks all over Thailand !!!

Did a search but no result so decided to start a thread on this. Beside Sex , agogo bars & mp in thailand, one of the other attraction that draw us to the LOS is Temples aka Wat. Many a times when we are down on our luck on certain things or things does not go smoothly for us, we seek high n low for a solution to change our destiny or luck sometimes to the extend to go all the way to india to look for Guru.. So bros who have been to any temples in thailand recently or in the past are welcome to share with us on which temple and name of monk if have and how does it change your life after that visit to that temple.. I'll start first on my recent trip...

Name of Temple : Wat Petchaburi .
Location : Northeast of Thai, Surin Province , Prasat district.
Duration : 6hours drive from bangkok.
Name of Monk : Luang Phor Hong . (very famous if u do a google search)
Age : 94.
Opening Times : 4am - 6am , 10am - 12pm , 4pm - 5pm.

The photo shown above is not wat petchaburi but very close to it.. LP Hong currently stay at this temple.. Wat Petchaburi is also his temple but he seldom go there now due to his health.. More photos below..

There are so many powerful n good Monk in Thailand but I idolise LP Hong so the recent trip to visit him personally really make me very happy... yes I also bought myself a LP Hong Amulet personally blessed by him..

Hope this thread will stay on and any bros are certainly welcome to share on any temples in thailand that you'll been to be it recently or 10 years ago... Cheers !!!!:)

For me i ALWAYS go Nepal or India to seek for my spiritual quest.. Thanks for posting and sharing. I hope 2012 will be a auspicious year for u! and pls do share with me drop me a mail on where to find good monks in Thailand! I havent been there for ages!!

Will the amulet be effective for us? Good question , it's true .. It's a sin but for me I'm neither married nor attached .. Whether it is effective I'm can't comment on this.. Maybe some bros have the answer...

India ???? Any good Guru that u met there??? I not too sure about Gurus but there are plenty good monks in Thailand ... LP Hong is one of them... Powerful n respected monk ... :)

Going to Wat Petchaburi by car takes 6 hours. Is there any other faster way to travel there. My flight arrives Bangkok 7.30am. By the tome come out of airport and get taxi to go there it will be 8.30am, after six hours its 2.30pm, then got to wait for the opening time at 4-5pm.

Hi bro, nice to know that u are going there.. Do remember LP Hong won't be at wat Petchaburi due to his health condition.. But the wat he is at is near wat Petchaburi.. Once u reach surin can ask around if u not sure.. I think this is the only way , maybe u can drop by surin to have your lunch first before proceeding to see LP Hong.. Just nice around 4pm.. Last but not least do update on LP Hong health condition if u manage to catch a glimpse of him.. Thanks !!:)

me seldom post here but i give a thumb up for your kind deed. sorry that i didnt donate because i really dun trust big charity organisation... i prefer 100percent of my money to go to those directly in need... up for those who want a good guru monk amulet. indeed lp hong is a very famous monk.. u can walk to any amulet shops in spore to enquire who is lp hong of wat petchburi
